Why did we pick Teal as our official rabbitry color? Maybe these fast facts will explain...
Where did Teal come from? Originally, the teal is a type of duck. The males in this freshwater duck family have bright blue and green wings, which is where the color gets its name. Although many species of teal are found around the world, only three call North America home. Those three are the blue-winged teal (found in the best place in the world! [The Midwest of the U.S.]), green-winged teal (found in western North America), and cinnamon teal (found in the western U.S.). You can learn more about these and other ducks at www.ducks.org, the official web site of Ducks Unlimited. Now you can't say you didn't learn something today! | ||||
