By the time the last piece of metal was put on, the green trim covering the corner pictured,
there was snow on the ground. Construction was "complete", but not finished. By
springtime, Dad had insulated the rest of the barn, and a few temporary lights were hung. There
were serious problems with flooding on the floor. The extra water off the roof and the water in
the field was going straight through the barn. Later in the spring, a French drain was added
along the entire wall to carry the water out of the building. Permanent electricity wasn't
added until the fall of 2004.
